TITAN is a joint Los Angeles FIG and JTTF information sharing initiative and alert network designed to collect and disseminate information relating to terrorist operations and related criminal activities to Law Enforcement and Critical Asset Partners (Corporations & Organizations) within the Southern California area.
The FIG is responsible for the collection and analysis of intelligence information, in order to identify trends and patterns of activity which may be in direct support of criminal and terrorist operations.
This network is designed to allow the dissemination of law enforcement sensitive information and threat alerts to those who need it most. T
ITAN creates a real time review of all counter terrorism related information affecting the Southern California area. The Group's review allows for the:
- Elimination of circular reporting
- Identification of both regional and local trends
- Dissemination of information region wide to both federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Development of proactive leads in the effort to prevent acts of terrorism within its area of responsibility
